Dopo la pubblicazione dell’articolo di Enrico Terrinoni su John Florio, ci sono giunte due segnalazioni interessanti. Florio visse per diversi anni con il padre Michel Agnolo a Soglio (Svizzera). Lo ricordano un sito (http://florio-soglio.ch/it/) e una pagina Facebook dedicata. Per approfondire il legame stretto tra John Florio e William Shakespeare, potete visitare un altro interessante sito (http://www.shakespeareandflorio.net). Come dice Terrinoni stesso, il legame tra Florio e Shakespeare in termini di influenze intertestuali deve esser stato abbastanza stretto.

Abbiamo appena inserito altri due siti nella colonna a destra del nostro blog, dove raduniamo tutti gli spunti di riflessione che ci sembrano interessanti. Il primo è Il Porto di Toledo, che fa riferimento al Dipartimento di Studi Europei, Americani e Interculturali dell’Università di Roma “La Sapienza” (e in particolare a Camilla Miglio). Call for Papers: Special Translation Edition of Colloquy (31/03/2015)
Colloquy: text, theory, critique is seeking submissions for a special edition focusing on translation which will be published in the second half of 2015. Submissions of translations as well as articles engaging with the concept, the product and the practice of translation from the perspective of philosophy and literary theory will all be considered.
Colloquy is a peer-reviewed online journal published twice annually by postgraduate students in the Literary and Cultural Studies Graduate Research Program at Monash University. It publishes material in the areas of critical theory, philosophy, literary and cultural studies, film and television, communications, media studies and performance.
To be considered for the special issue, all work should have a critical focus on translation.
