Target Audience

The book is expected to be utilized in the educational context of
translation by scholars and teachers. It may also be of interest to graduate
students who plan to become teachers or do further studies on translation
teaching. It is intended to deepen their understanding of the processes,
principles, models, new options and other matters related to translation
teaching.

Recommended topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

theories of translation pedagogy and their applications;
principles, strategies, and models of translation teaching;
application of other disciplines to translation teaching;
psychological implications to translation teaching;
functions of translation teaching;
problems in current translation pedagogy;
assessment and evaluation of translation teaching;
translation teaching of specific text types;
the development of translation competence;
the design of portfolios;
development of teaching tools;
the application of corpus in translation teaching;
reports on research projects concerning translation teaching.
Please note that translation in this publication covers both the written
form of translation and the oral form of interpretation. Full chapters are
expected to be up to 10000 words.
